I love the stalking pose of this bird and the colors are great. You have a good low angle and the reflection of those big feed really add to the photo. Not a bird that is easy to get a good photo of in my opinion.

A great looking bg with lovely colors in the water. Excellent pose and nice low angle. It feels like a bit more room is needed on bottom for right leg/foot. Excellent choice to get the left foot just as it enters the water.

Wonderful Image Ofer...Love the super low angle and raised foot... also colors on bird and BG look excellent...the shine on beak is usually a problem but you did great....I would also like some more space at bottom and might consider removing the dirt near right leg...but this is an excellent capture..TFS

The BG could not be nicer. I like the elliptical shapes the water made in front of the bird. Might tone down the beak a bit and give a bit more room in front of bird if you have it,

Masterly handling, Ofer !! Low angle and water colour both contribute to much.

Ofer, you nailed the pose with that big foot out. Bg colors are awesome...so is the sharpness. Good job in getting parallel and low.

Nicely captured & composed, Ofer. Like the intense pose, and love the color and texture to water. Maybe just a tad more sharpening on the legs.

Love the BG, colors, low angle and IQ, Ofer. Though it looks like you've allowed just enough room for virtual leg/foot, would be nice to see a tad more room below.

You have it all here, Ofer. Wonderful light, low angle, gorgeous colors, sharp and that foot just adds so much interest! I saw my first one at a local zoo but understand that we do have these birds in parts of Florida. Haven't run into one in the wild yet though.

    Hey Ofer,
This is a very cool shot with a great look at the oversized foot. I like how it barely touches the glass like water. Is this also called a purple Gallin or something like that?

Cheryl, I am not an expsert birder but as far as I know it is a different species than the one you get in America.
