    Default Fish Eagle chase

Another in my series of a Fish Eagle chasing a Hamerkop to steal his food. I do have a few with the Hamerkop in the frame, but the Fish Eagle is flying directly away from me. This was fairly diffficult trying to keep track of the Fish Eagle, as he was flying all over the place, and I was in my car. Taken in the Kruger National Park late Oct.

Nice flight pose and head angle Stuart. I might be tempted to crop this a little tighter. A touch off the bottom and from the right.

Nicely caught Stu, I like the sideways glance, you have some fine detail in the dark plumage and the whites look good though I wonder if some adjacent to the brown wing feathers are just a little hot? I would consider making a mask of the eye and cere an brightening up just a bit, also I would crop a little at the bottom say just crop the plain sandy area - about 1cm.

    Hi Stuart,
Love the topside view. I would crop a bit off the bottom only. His head is a bit dark and would brighten it a touch. A keeper for sure,
    Gail

Great looking colors on the eagle and a matching pose. I did not mind the bit of sand on the bottom. It tended to complete the habitat connection for me.

Tracking a BIF out of a car is no easy task! I prefer the repost with the lightening of the head.
