    Least Auklet

    ST. Paul Island, Alaska

    D3, 600, ISO 1000, 6.3, 1/1600, Fill -1.7.

There were hundreds of these Auklets moving up and down this one stretch of boulders. Being North America's smallest Alcid, they are so cute and fun to watch as they lean back on their elbows and talk to each other.
During our workshop, our group sat among the rocks and covered our heads with our hoods. It wasn't long before the birds were landing right in front of us, with one bird landing on a participants head next to me.:-)

Wow ! That's such a beautiful frame . The repetition of the birds and the BG make it awesome . Nature's way of 'copy paste' !! Maybe a slight toning down of the perch would enhance this further .

Good HA's from all three, and what tiny pupils these guys have. I like the detail and grey/black colours, and the BG rocks.

Love the green bokeh background, expressions and head angles. No nits from me.

Good head angles on all three birds at once. Excellent image. I might desaturate the green just a bit in the background only.

What great subjects - lovely capture. I would suggest a slight recrop to include a little less rock - say to where your copyright is, and a little more of the background. I feel the background adds more than the rock does.
