Love the detail, pose and calm water. Colors look a bit too saturated to me.

Beautiful bird I have neither seen nor hears about this one. Nice pose, is it just the angle from which the image was taken or would a little CCW rotation help? I too get the impression the colours are a little OTT, also there appears to be a sort of purple hue over the back and wings. It could be that the Contrast or Blacks are a little high as the dark feathers in the head are not revealing too much detail.

Wonderful image. I really like the head angle, great detail, and real nice control on the whites.
Well done.

Nice details. I like the pose and the head position. Those ripples are also very nice. Calm water huge plus here. Not sure if you can eke out some details in the head...something to try on the RAW file.

Nice bird and I like the alert pose. Whites look spot on, but I agree some of the blacks on the head may have a bit of detail in it to eke out. I too see the purplish cast on the body, and agree with CCW rotation.
