I made this with the iPhone and used 100 Cameras in 1 app and then did a little work in Photoshop, using a layer mask to reveal the face and painted out some of the background.

I really like the composition and the shadowing of Santa's beard and red clothes. My own personal preference would be to reduce the lightness in the lower right and to bring back just enough of the background -- maybe even unevenly -- so it was dark but not black.

Thanks Dennis. I did paint over the lower right lightly with gold. I'll try to fix it. The filter made the top part of the background very dark and since there were parts of 2 ornaments hanging right over him I painted them out. Otherwise I would have left the tree showing slightly. I have another version with dim stars painted in the background I will post.

Here is a repost with the foreground darkened which does look a lot better and some stars at lowered opacity added to the black area.

Adding the stars to the background was a very creative and effective solution. Great idea!

Very nice composition, Judy. Great OOTB thinking! I like the repost with those bg stars. Excellent processing.

Very nice, Judy, love the soft glow, and the changes with the added stars in BG put it over the top. Well done!

This is really neat Judy, adding the stars in really made a big difference, I'm really getting into abstract stuff with the iphone!
