    Default Wood Frog

We went back to the Vernal Pool on Saturday night but it was a dry night so the critters were not out and crossing the road .

We were able to secure a couple of guys around the pool and here is a Wood Frog

I like the pose and the framing. Nice image.

Looks like he is getting ready to jump.

Hey John, I have a lot of fun shooting wood frogs in the vernal ponds near my home. Nice pose and good details on the head. I might have shot this as you did, but then also shot it with a diffuser to cut down on the highlights on the side of the body. These guys are pretty cooperative and usual allow me to work the diffuser around till I get rid of the highlights, and not get scared off.
