Pretty hard to find any "crits" here Dumay. Superb photo with excellent detail, exposure, posture, comp.
New toy mate??????Im just going to say, tack, tack sharp, brilliant IQ, and very well timed to capture the open beak. Did you capture this at Thornybush?
Lovely image. All colors and contrast look very natural. Eye detail is excellent.
Dumay you totally nailed this one. Just loved that open beak showing nerves, the eye is so clean and those tiny droplets on the back of head and throat is so clear. perfect compo perfect image Bro.

Wonderful portrait of this darter, Dumay! Love the detail and the open bill. Great comp too!

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Great IQ and exposure. Like the pose and bg. Well done![]()
I feel a WOW coming on here - absolutely first class, exposure colours composition pose detail - all top notch a real gem of a shot!
The comp and water droplets tip this picture to a 10 out of 10. No nits from me,
Gail
Very nice portrait, Dumay, besides the excellent IQ, it makes me chuckle at the pose.

Ditto all the positives above. Love the wide open look and the killer BKGR. The distal end of the bill could use a small bit of a clean-up if that works for you.

Thanks all...Stu and Steve, just a borrowed lens. I took this year and a half ago... Stu I miss avian photography terribly I really hardly ever get any ops to do any here. I wish we had a Mankwe here.
Great image ,Dumay !
I love the pin sharpness ,detail and the open beak.Portrait comp works very well .
What a beautiful eye!
I really like the framing here, Dumay. The neck running parallel with side of frame then top half of the bill shooting to the upper right corner is very appealing.
Excellent image Dumay! I like the pose, composition and IQ.
