    hi bill, the exposure on the bird looks spot on!! great job. one thing that draws my attention away from the bird is the bright hillside under the bird. i think if you toned it down it would help.

    Good point Bill !!!! Fly they can and ugly ...... !!!!!

    Sure wish you could have included the exp compensation !!!!! You got very good detail in the wings Feet and beak are a bit over exposed but very pleasing overall These guys are tough you need lots of light like you have here to get the darker feathers lit up but need to guard against the light parts. Getting the bird a bit higher in frame would have eliminated the road As Harold pointed out it does detract form the bird

    This is the type image I normally hold down the shutter and fire away to have as many wing positions as possible I do like this one very much Not sure if you came up with even more of a flare !!!

    Nice exposure and nice bird!! Agree with the light part at the bottom

    Thanks for the comments. I had thought about filling in the road portion. This was the only flight photo I got of him and it was as he was landing on the road to take care a some road kill.

    The Exposure Bias was set a 0.
