    Default Thunder Hole Gull

We saw surprisingly little wildlife on our trip to Maine. This gull was hanging out near Thunder Hole.

Nice pose on the bird. The bird would work better more left in the frame to get him out of center.

I agree with Alan, also wish you were a little lower or higher to get rid of the background line cutting though the gulls head. What camera/lens did you use?

Thanks for the comments. I agree re the placement. There was a slot in the rocks behind the bird through which some water was pouring when the tide came in and I was trying to time the bird posing with the pouring water. This one doesn't show the water but the pose looked nice. The gull was doing quite a bit of preening so the timing with the wave action was challenging. Lens was the Canon 100-400.
