    Ken a slight head turn and a catchlight would improve this nice image. I'd be tempted to slightly blur the BG and add more room on the bottom.

    Ken, good DOF, and I like the view of the wattle.Great low angle captured too. Lightening the eye will also help due to the Lapwing not co-operating on turning his head more towards you. Some NR on the BG will help too.
