    This well known resident of Little Estero was imaged on Artie's post presidents day IPT in 2009. It was a dead still day with pristine water and cooperative birds. Hopefully he will be there for this years IPT

    D700 500mm f/4 1/5000s f/5 ISO 640 AE Gitzo/Wimberly

    Post: CS5 Selective sharpening, Color Efex Pro Tonal Contrast, crop from left. Cleaned up 2 small blemishes in the water.

    Amazing shot of the bird, great exposure and detail and good head angle.
    I know you can't do anything about it but for me, it looks sort of lost against the very still water/structureless background that almost imperceptibly fuse with one another.

    Excellent image. Love the pose and wonderful head angle. Exposed perfectly, real nice feather detail, and nice comp.
