Hey Art, Magnifico! Wonderful color palette, layers and energy. The blast off through the Cottonwoods is the icing on the cake. Nice sky, and I like those geese still on the ground. left behind. If you twisted my arm about anything to do, I might even out the darker shadows at the base of the trees..............even so, I would put it on my wall!

Artie, I love the layers of colors and especially the cottonwoods showing through against the sky. I really like the blast-off on your blog too

I agree with Cheryl's comment about the color layers. It's nice that relatively few of the geese extend above the gold of the trees and are better defined.

Beautiful blur Artie, the soft sweep of birds along with the cottonwoods makes this special. I also love whats going on at the top of the image-it almost looks like clouds. The birds at the bottom of the frame add interest. I'd enter this one too.

Thanks Lady D. I knew that you would love this one but I thought that it would be the tree trunks that you liked best.

Very nice lesson. You don't have to pan to make beautiful blurred images.

Frog-o-rama, As best as I can remember, I was panning slowly when I made this image. The relatively sharp tree trunks might have been caused by my either starting to pan from the beginning or having quit panning while the shutter was still open. 1/2 sec. is a long time in bird photography :). Tanks for stopping by.

Wonderful blur Aurthur, love how the majority of the birds are against that yellow of the trees and showing off the tree trunks. Would have never guessed 1/2 sec shutter though, figured it was much slower, must be the panning effect.

Hi Arthur, agree with Denise on entering this one too! I love the layers here...the foreground, the birds with the trees, and the sky. I think the tree trunks help to give the image a sense of place. Nice one!
