    A famous wildlife photographer has been caught faking hundreds of photos over several years:

    He have had several discussions on this in the past (BBC faker and a local faker). Unfortunately it casts a shadow of doubt on any digital image.
    Faking has always been possible(and done), it's just easier now.

    Faking was MUCH more difficult in the age of film, although a few did.
