    Last week on Jim Neiger's boat on Lake Toho. 1D Mark III, 500mm lens hand-held.
    f/4 @ 1/1600 early morning light. I appreciate all your comments.

    Gorgeous bird !! Lovely pose and good colours. Background seems a bit noise and bird overall seems a bit soft for me. Think there is quite a bit of improvements you could make with PP. Thanks for sharing !!

    It's a great pose Susan, and the lighting is nice too. It appears a little soft on my monitor (particularly the eye), and the purplish band is a bit distracting. Overall a nice effort though!

    Love the pose. Looks like a heavy crop. There is also a lot of noise. Using Noise Ninja will take care that!

    Thanks, Maxis, It is cropped to full vertical. I reprocessed with noise ninja, selective sharpening, and a little yellow saturation. Does it look better?
