Hi Tom, I love vintage looks like this and you did a great job with it. The sepia tone is perfect. I like the pose of the main swan with the OOF cygnet behind, but I wish the larger swan behind wasn't there. The fact that it is taller than the other two birds and looking the other way distracts from the main subject in my opinion.

I like the look and the fact that there are three birds of different sizes arranged as they are left to right. My preference, though, would be to have them all in focus.

I feel the same way as the previous comments. I do like the low shooting angle and great eye contact of the foreground bird.

Tom, Nice job on the vintage look, I think you achieved what you wanted there. My preference since the lower water has no interest would be for more canvas on top than bottom. I only wish for a bit more DOF to get the eye slightly more in focus on the larger swan in the back. I applaud you for trying new things and think with a few tweaks in the field you could pull this look off.

Thanks for the comments - I'm finding post production my biggest area of learning in the photographic process. Agree with some of the comments. I like the three birds as it is parents with youngster in a protective formation. I'm not sure getting all in focus would have been possible here - the behind bird is a proberbly 2 meters behind the first bird.
