I used Totally Rads Dirty Pictures to add the texture overlay. Dirty Pictures is a Photoshop plug-in that will add and blend a texture to an image with just a couple of clicks. The program is a little pricey and you can do everything the old fashioned way but I like the quick ease of it. I also applied a little Fractalius to the flower. I tried to maintain a delicate look to the original high-key capture, I hope I was successful I tried to off-center the flower a little more but it seemed too side heavy when I did.

What a lovely creation, Denise. I like the texture you used for the background, and the light touch of Fractalius adds a lot to the blossom. I find the composition very balanced. The depth of field on the blossom looks good. My initial reaction in seeing the image was that I disappointed that the bud and leaves on the right weren't in focus. But, the more I look at the image, the more I like them the way they appear! They don't pull the eye away from the blossom as much as they might if in sharper focus.

Denise, I really like this. Soft and and appealing colors. The framing is nice, and textures are great. It has a nice mood to it. I might lighten up the dark bud and blend a bit of green into it.. just a personal taste thing. Lovely as is.

A definite wall hanger! The background/texture is wonderful and the filter work and DOF on the lily looks great, and I like the soft look.

Beautiful colors and processing, Denise. The comp looks just right and the mood you have created very pleasing and delicate.

Beautiful work, Denise. I like the colors and textures. The composition looks very balanced...just right. The only change I might make would be to soften the BG texture a tad to better fit the soft look of the flower(I would probably use a blur overlay to do that).

This is beautiful, Denise. Just the way it is. The Fractalius effect looks like nature put it there, and the background works wonderfully with the flower. Although the composition looked just fine to me, I popped the golden ratio grid over it. The vertical divine proportion line falls right between the blossom and the green stem and buds! Good eye.

Hi Denise, a little late getting to this one, but it is quite lovely. Alstros are very beautiful blossoms. Love the subtle use of fractalius as well.
