Left the drop shadows on the neck. Curious about your thoughts on this

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

Nice initial contribution to the December theme. The action, pose, and water droplets are all great. But although you intentionally cropped the image, my inclination would be to add back a little canvass, especially above the bird and to the left and right of it.

Randy, the swam makes an elegant entry for the first day of a new theme. The blue tones in the water make a beautiful background for the white swan. I like all the water rolling off the swan's back, and the droplets in the air. I think leaving the droplet shadows on the neck is the approach I would take, as well. They emphasize the presence of the mid-air water droplets. I wish the eye was a big more prominent, but I guess that's the way that swans are built! The reverse s-curve formed by the neck is a lovely feature. You've done an excellent job of adding canvas on the left, although my first reaction was that the composition is still just a bit tighter than I would prefer.

Good start to the new months theme...I would love to see some more space in front of the Swan and also whites on breast look on the edge...Nice low angle and droplets really add pleasing effect to the image...TFS

Man these guys must displace alot of water when taking a bath!! I love the contrast between the water-covered part of the back and the dry part...very neat. I think I'd prefer the swan a tad lower in the frame, and I get the impression the image may need a slight CCW rotation.

Since you needed to add canvas I imagine this guy was too close to photograph without clipping the wings on the post-bath flap?

Randy, overall well exposed, especially on the bill. I like the sharpness of the both the droplets and the water falling off the back of him. Im trying to find where Dan is getting his rotation concern from. Maybe below the swan looks level, but if you move your eyes to the left, the water 'appears' to be going uphill.
