The marbled godwits don't show up at Estero all that often. This was the first one I had ever seen. He showed up with a long-billed curlew one morning, though they didn't seem to get along all that well! Darkened the eye, added a touch of saturation to the bill, cleaned up some light/dark spots in the background, added a touch of mid-tone contrast, cropped, sharpened. All C & C welcome.

This has some nice details and light, the angle and background works very well.

The composition seems a little tight to me, but all said and done a fine specimen shot

    Mike:

Your Godwit is sharp, well exposed, nice angle in frame, foot up pose, smooth BG, good shooting angle.

I am OK with the crop.

    Cheers

Sweet godwit image, Mike. Love the raised foot, eye contact, and complimentary background.

Sharp, well exposed, and nice colours (the bill looks great against all those light browns and tans). I love the raised foot. A bit tight for me, too...I'd add back some below and left if you have it (not much needed).
