    Default Grebes at Sea

So after watching and photographing the pair for an hour and seeing several waves pick them up, they finally perked up and were swimming.
They had been content (or were just too tired) to just get washed up and beached again with previous waves.
A decent wave finally got them up and out (I think or hope).
While this photo is probably a letdown photo wise from the previous, It looked nice to me.
A self critique, it is too tight, I know, the wave hit me first, (I was between the Grebes and the surf with my back to the Ocean, a dumb thing to do on the Oregon Coast!),
and just snapped this and headed to the beach.
I would also have preferred better HA's, but I was really happy just to see them heading out.
It is a pair (notice the beak differences), apparently Grebes stay together.
I didn't even look back, I was content they were heading out.

    Dan:

I have really enjoyed your series of these beautiful birds.

Hope they are fine after resting up.

Agree with your self critique. Easy to add a modest amount of canvas to the left. Head angle on left bird OK.

Like the bubbles on the right bird's back.

I am at work, so can't make a critical call, but the whites on the neck/breast of the left bird look a little hot.

What a great opportunity you had.

    Cheers

Dan, Yes, I suppose that this image is not technically perfect. But it is a perfect end to their story and that is enough for me.
