    40D, TC 1.4X II, 500 f4 L IS, f8, 1/250, ISO 800, WB shade, AiServo, AV, 5:03:12 pm, Vail, AZ out the open kitchen nook window.

    Nicely done. I love the wings-forward position. Would love to see the face and the eye crisper, and the flowers that are cut off on the upper frame edge are bothersome.

    I always think that because these guys are always around flowers, that the images you manage to get are fantastic !!! Would love to one day have a go at these guys. Great colours and love the motion in the wings. Agree with Arthur on the crispness of the face. Thanks for sharing !!

    Very nice eye contact and BG but I would prefer a wider crop in order not to clip the blossoms at the top and left.

    Love the pose but I have to agree with Artie. I wish I could see the complete flower.

    Thanks for the feedback. The crop was a bit on the right and the bottom. The flowers at the top go up another foot or so as they range from two to four feet tall and there are in excess of 40 flower stalks in this Penstemon bed. I'll work on sharpening the face a bit and see if I can improve that.
