One from last winter. This is the only time I ever got close to a scaup. They are voracious bathers and fun to watch. Wish for a better angle toward me, wondering if you think this is fatal to the photograph?

Real nice shot. Love the splashing of the water and all the water drops, great shooting angle, like the small oof wave in front. A better angle of the duck would have been nice but still a great shot.
    Well done.

Key parts are nice and sharp and splashes are great, perfect for the theme!

No CPR needed for this image Grace. Good low angle, lots of water droplets and the curved beak makes him look like he is smiling in the tub! Good SS and DOF. Maybe a touch brighter?

Grace, you should come over here to photograph Lesser Scaups. They are quite cooperative. Having said that, I have never got a good bath shot :-) I like the action here a lot. low angle, of course is mandatory :-) In action shots like this one, HA, although important, is not as important as portraits, I feel. This one is within the tolerance for an action shot in my book at least.

Excellent techs...these are difficult to execute as you need both high SS and high DOF for the flying droplets. really well done.
