    Another one from Julatten Queensland which is the best place to photograph these birds.

    Love the alert pose with raised tail feathers, the multiple flash sharpness, and of course the meal. Composition works well. The branch does look a little flashed.

    I'll take the edit one step further and do a subtle color shift to the BG, which I think has a bit of blue cast.

    Thanks Doug! I prefer my repost as perch looks less flashed and I feel the BG in your last repost has a yellow/red cast.

    Are we having a great day at BPN or what? one stunning image after another. I am scared to post one today for the fear of breaking the pattern :-)

    colors, sharpness, flash work, IQ....stunning shot. What a bird. nice perch. I feel it can be a bit lower in the frame. did a quick( and dirty) crop adn canvas extension. Do you think this crop is better?

    What a beautiful pose and the tail really adds to the image.

    I find it difficult to compare everybody's different versions bit I would accept any of them.

    Looks like a day which is amazingly colorful, the world markets are trading 3% + and the colors are showing on here :)

    Man i think i am impressed with any kingfisher image but this is amazing , the colors are superb the redone one makes it stand out.
