This bird species is a rare visito in our area, only in migration.
I was chasing it " wild goose chase" for years until
I cought up with three a couple of years ago and one this year, at the same spot.
    Thanks for looking.

Hand held either neeling down or laying down into the poop coverd grass.
Did both. (At the end only my left knee got covered with poop)

Nice image of this species. I'm not so crazy about the cut lawn, but it does set the bird off nicely.

Hi Karl. Very nice profile of this hard-to-find species in central Canada (loads of them on the east coast of NS though). Exposure appears very good, nice HA and the bird seems to have a bit of an attitude with that piece of grass in the mouth looking like a toothpick . I'm not crazy about the cut grass or the leaf in front of the leg but around here you take what you get.

Really nice portrait of a brant, Karl. I like how the body is parallel to the camera so you can really see the detail well even in the tail--with a great head angle too. Nice job.

Nice portrait shot of this Brant Karl. Hey, sometimes you gotta lay down in some nasty stuff to get the shot you are after. I'm ok with the grass. Nice capture though on a rare visitor to your area. Always nice to bag one of those.

nice portrait, the details are a bit coarse and not crisp for a shot like this, I think you need to change your post processing flow.

Ditto Arash. I like the colours though and well exposed. Well done!
