I am still trying to catch up on my images from India, luckily I have another 3 weeks before heading off for my Christmas respite.

I did not manage to get many monkey snaps, which is a shame for me, but here is a mother and child taken in Kanha NP in rather dull light on 2nd April 2011.

Ken - nice moment and well composed. Curious about the color as there seems to be some green tint particularly around the adult's face and far shoulder but it could be that color naturally?

    Rachel,

Just looked at the JPEG at 800% in PS and I cannot really see much if any green, although selecting green and reducing it does have a minimal effect on the areas you have indicated.

Whatever it certainly should not have any green.

    Hi Ken,
I have to say first off that I do not like monkeys so my opinion is probably biased already!
I do like the facial expressions and the lovely clear eyes. I too, see a green cast around the face and mom's chest.
I like the pose and the hands on the rock-kind of an evolutionary symbol!

    Gail,

I am not a great fan of Monkeys either, largely because they always seem to be in the wrong place, but I would like to get a nice Colobus

I like this one Ken. Nice intimate scene with some interesting habitat. Would've been nice to have that monkey curl its tail in front off her but she probably did it this way on purpose just to mess with you. Since the tail's cut and you don't seem to like the rock, an 8x10 vertical crop might work nicely too.
