    Default Welcome the Emperor

    Dear All

This became my instant favourite when I first saw it on camera, and still remains so. Those who seek sharpness here will miss the point.

This image is all about extreme proximity and portrayal of power, intensity, presence and occasion.
When you get this close, all that remains is the tiger and you and nothing in between or outside the two.

The Bamera Male Aka New Tala male , Son of legendary parents , B2 & Chakradhara female who raised almost more than dozen of cubs , But this kid was special

Thrown out of park by B2 in 2005-2006 by B2 , He came back coolly in 2009-2010 and in most dramatic way acquired the entire park. In process one female joined him.
In less than 24 months both of them became the ultimate power and thrown out as many as 12 tigers to rule Bandhavgarh. Now he already have 6 cubs who will steal show this summer.

    Welcome the Emperor

7D, 300/F4 , FF, HH, on evening when everybody in vehicle were shivering in 45 deg Celsius of May heat when he walked parallel to vehical at MFD

    All C & C are most welcome

    Harshad,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your old friend. It seems he went out the way a tiger should. As for your pic, it looks plenty sharp from nose to eye. And the rest of the slightly blurred fur and somewhat streaked BG in front of the tiger gives a real sense of forward motion.

Harshad, your enthusiasm for the tigers story and struggle to succeed really means as much as the image does...

Harshad - I agree with the above, there's a nice sense of movement and power with this. I'm sure it's heart stopping to be so close to such a magnificent animal. Sorry to hear about B2 but seems that nature has worked its magic once again.

    Rachel

Very sad to just hear of B2's demise Harshad, really got to know him via your wonderful images.
............All hail the NEW Emperor, and long may he reign!
    Loving the proximity here.

This works well and I can feel the "moment"...I think my first moment having a tiger in the viewfinder will result in my putting down the camera and just "seeing" it!
