Theme: Overhead Iceland Gull

This Iceland Gull came in to our chum on one of our organized pelagics out of New Jersey. I always liked the ethereal look of this image.

Nikon D90, Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED
ISO 400, f/7.1, 1/1600 +1EV, 180mm (270mm equivalent)

Beautiful. Really like the pose with the head turned in.
Super minimalistic presentation has a very "pure" feel about it.

I'd like slightly looser 6x4 crop with similar positioning of the bird.

The photo does have an ethereal quality to it Paul. Excellent detail, and I like the fanned tail feathers. I might selectively brighten the bird a bit.
