    Hi Folks:

    Read this today "Remember, If you haven't got a smile on your face, and laughter in your heart, then you're just a sour old crumb." So, I cut a purple onion in half, captured it, tossed and mangled it in free Fotosketcher, Pixel bender, stroked it and added a little Vermillion Flycatcher as icing to the pudding.

    Hope it evokes a smile or

    Comments always welcome and appreciated.

    Neat image, Gus. Would never have guessed an onion BG! Might be a tiny triangle of blue in the center that you could clone out. But then... "Who knows what pixels lurk in the hearts of onions!"

    Hi Steve;

    Thanks for kind words. My you have sharp eyes, that is a tiny bit of the Vermillion's background I missed with the eraser tool, and in fact I went over that area twice.

    Appreciate your comments

    Gus

    You do amazing things with birds, Gus. This has a great graphic quality. The curves in the onion are effective in terms of the composition.

    An onion! Who knew??? I think it's a wonderfully creative image, Gus. I agree with Dennis - I like the curves. And the Vermillion Flycatcher is definitely "icing on the cake".

    Gus, I never would have guessed it was an onion!v Very creative and OOTB! Good eyes by Steve, I might reduce the catchlight in the eye and finish the right lower corner edging before printing on a card if it were mine. I can see this as a great card-plenty of room for text!

    Hi Folks;

    Thank for your kind comments and sugestions. I can now see that I should have exercised more care in the details. For instance, instead of "then you're just a sour old crumb" it was supposed to read, "then you're just a sour old onion." The little triangle of blue found by Steve, should have been erased before finishing. Denise, I should have noticed the catch lite, and, also should have moved the Flycatcher a little more to the left away from the inside border.

    It just goes to show that you folks are on the ball, and paying attention to the comments is very educational.

    Thanks again.

    Gus

    An onion? Fantastic OOTB thinking Gus! And I love that red pop of the bird. Very cool...
