Beautiful post, Mitch. That house looks as if it was quite grand at one time. I could see you toning down the greens and pink on three of the geese, but it all depends on your preferences. I like it as posted.

Individually, I like the two images. Especially the sunrise at the old house with those scraggly trees. Compositing the two was a great idea. I think, though, when doing a composite it's important to make sure the lighting is consistent. The sun is very low in the sky and, probably, off to the left. The geese were light by a bright sun from above. I darkened the upper parts of the geese, particularly the upper wing surfaces. Also, I lightened the lower parts of the bodies and undersurfaces of some of the wings with that peach color near the largest tree. Then, I ran it through Simplify, again, and masked it to reveal just the geese.

Mitch, You really do use the remask program well! I love the scene with the old house and tree. The sky colors are gorgeous. I think that the folks above made some great suggestions, I might trim a bit of the grass off the bottom if it were mine. Great job!!!
Thanks Andrew. I think you are right about the grass... I was to taken by the great patch of green, but should have cropped some of it. I went in another direction completely, and used "Flood" instead.
