    Dave:

The dark blue/green water works well here, good pose, head angle.

The reflection is fairly soft, but with this pose, I don't think cropping up from below works well.

I might consider a mild crop from right, about 25% of the free space.

    Cheers

Very nice shot, like the contrast between the Egret and the water, the reflection tops off this image.

Lovely image. Great hunting pose and trailing ripples behind. Techs look good with excellent whites on the dark BG. The BG does seem to suffer from subtle jpeg compression though?

    Thanks Guys

Daniel I think you are right. After quick check of the compressed jpeg and tiif file there does appear to be something going on. I work on a lap top with somewhat wonky eyes so had to look at 250%. It seems to be where the shadow tones change a bit.

You've got pretty good eyes. Thanks.

The darkness of the BG really makes this guy stand out. Love the stalking pose, what time of day was this taken at?

Dave, lovely shot. Agree with Randy about the crop.
And Daniel, you've got real good eyes, many wouldn't have noticed what you did!
