An image from a couple of years ago at one of my favorite locations - Tiny Marsh. Tiny Marsh is actually a very large wetland (800 hectares) and many of the Bosque images posted here remind me of this wetland. It was a November morning with a bitter cold wind blowing rather strongly. The eastern sky was going to be a dud on this morning so I turned around to see what was going on in the western sky. I figured there was no hope for sharp clouds, due to wind, so I put my polarizing filter and a 3-stop ND for a long exposure to capture the movement in the clouds.
Andrew - sorry, a little late to this one. Wild colors and I like the cloud movement and how it shows in the reflection. One nit- there seems to be a halo at the top of the trees.
Next time you use the ND filters, turn on the camera's live view and look at the scene with and without the filter and note if the filter introduces a magenta color cast. If so this is IR (infrared) pollution. You need a IR Blocking filter.
Love the cloud movement and mood here Andrew. I was curious about the strong magenta cast but Robert explained it nicely...should be easy toning it down though?
Hey Andrew,
In many cases I don't like what the ND does to cloud mvement....but it works here for me! I would just tone down the magenta in the FG.....sky looks great as is with the soft pastel colors.
