An image from early this morning, a mate was kind enough to lend me a 2xTC to try for a few hours while I am still trying to make up my mind re new gear, the extra reach was really noticeable.

The bird was one of a small group feeding on my neighbours lawn. This particular bird was resting on the top of a small garden stake.

    Olympus E500, 50-200mm, 2 x TC

    RAW, manual 1/100, f 6.8 ISO 400.

Full frame with some canvas added to the top. levels, curves, smart sharpen.

Beautiful bird, nice background and exposure. Only wish for some room at the bottom.

Lovely bird and wonderful colors. I'm with Fabs on wanting a little more room on the bottom. Well done.
