    Excellent eye on this drake , and for me eye contact very important for most preening shots to work.

    Sharp, well exposed, just enough DOF to work for me. Good flash work. The composition works for this head position.

    Hi Joel,

    As Randy said techs good. You've captured the sheen of the mallard nicely. I would personally disagree with the comments about the comp. Because my eye is drawn to the drakes eye I find too much empty space on the right. It is a personal thing though. Love the complimentary colours of the water and plumage.
