    Default Against the rules

One of the first photos I took with my nikon D200+ 400mm 2.8 lens. Some people like it and others say they don`t because it goes against all the rules. I would love to know what you think and show me your photos, that go against the so called rules

    Neil:

Habitat images are great, but at least for me, I still want a clean look at the birds face and part of the body. So, in this case, if the large clump in front of the body wasn't there, and the face was clearly seen, I think it would be a more effective image.

We aren't allowed to add other images to a thread which aren't direct reposts of the original, but if you spend some time looking through the site, you will find a number of different approaches to habitat images.

Your bird looks sharp and well exposed.

Hope to see more in the future.

    Cheers
