I like the pose and I like the perch. Good sharpness, but looks a little noisy on this screen. Is this an African Hawk Eagle?
John, I agree about the noise, sorry about that, trying to avoid halo's I think your ID is probably correct, it is so long ago I forgot all about its ID, it could of course also be an Ayre's Hawk Eagle, but one thing is certain it is not a Martial.
Hi Ken, I like the pose and the look back head position. You were shooting at an ISO of 400 so why is there so much noise in the image? Gail
Gail, I have absolutely no idea, my processing for here is clearly going to pot.
It is a African Hawk Eagle...Lots of noise visible, did you underexpose the original image and try to lighten?
Ken, African Hawk Eagle it is. Good alert pose, and love the show of the talons. Surely your RAW file does not have this noise.
Well this has been a bit of a mess up all round, ID wrong Place wrong it should be Hwange, Zimbabwe Date wring it should be 20th June 2009 and finally appaling processing, I have no idea at all what went in here Here is a repost starting from scratch, still some noise probably as a result of large crop.
