I tell ya, the wildlife out there is getting smarter every day.
Was shooting this nutria alongside the Red River this morning
and the little rascal decided he was smart and remained still while hiding behind a stick so I couldn't make his photo. Must be something in the water
Now is that smart or what......for a river rat?

    400mm, 25mm ext tube, ISO 1250, f/8, 1/250, Full Frame

Just had that "hiding" thought while going through the images

Glad you pointed him out Dave:) He must be an older one as he has hair coming out of his ears (dang middle age!). A nice study in detail on this guy. Interesting shot to view.

Great detail. Nicely placed in frame. The nutria really stands out against that smooth background.

I like the little guy Dave If possible would park the two sticks up front !!!! Just like in birds would not mind seeing a bit of a head turn to have his nose sharp !!!! Sure like the little guys !!!

Darn nutra rats! For a bumbling aquatic possum, they sure can be not very cooperative - hiding behind ONE little twig - what nerve! Neat capture of an established exotic nutria - too bad he felt secure behind that one stick! Maybe next time! Thanks for sharing.

So where is the Nutria? I'd get rid of the two chop sticks in front. I love the detail.
