    The soft light is great and the pose is classic GBH.

    The crop and framing are a problem for me. I would really like to see this in a classic rectangle crop the square does nothing for it except make me wish there was more room in front of the bill and less empty space on top.

    A 3 second curves adjustment to open up the face would make the image even more attractive.

    Hi Gary, I agree with Robert, it thisnk it would look better with more room in front of the bird, and a little noise removal from the BG.

    Managing to get the eye of the fish is a bonus, I like the detail.

    Love the lighting - and quite a catch. Tried to lighten the shadows a little and added some canvas in front of the bird, cropped from the top - this might have centered the bird too much though.

    Compositionally, I'd like this one - but don't know how you feel about loosing the part of the head feather.
