Not sure about the OOF zebra in the foreground, but think it gives a different dimension to the image...

Nice interaction Rudi and I like the inclusion of the horizon/sky. Think you could apply another round of USM to the two main Zebra. Although the image is 'busy' the OOF zebra does help.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Great action and behavior, the light and colors are magnificent...Really enjoying your work!
That creamy bokeh and the great light makes this one soothing to my eyes. Agree on the USM.
The BG and colors are really nice. I am OK with the OOF zebra but would have preferred a clear shot of the 2 playing zebras.

Rudi, I really like the colour tones in this image, but I tried a rough re-crop and b&w conversion (very, very rough) because I think the action and the stripes of the oof foreground lend themselves to a monochrome image. I think it adds drama, but my husband thinks it looks too savage, so I won't post it but just put it forward as another suggestion for you to try.![]()
Rudi,
I am sorry to say the OOF Zebra in the front does nothing for me, but I suppose it demonstrates Zebras inate ability to get in the way of shots.
I would try cropping a lot closer eliminating as much of the OOF as you see fit.
Thanks for the feedback everyone - Appreciated!
Rudi, Rietvlei Zebbies rock. Its always great to capture playtime with Zebbies, and just love those Rietvlei BG's. I can see where Ken is coming from, but the OOF zebbie doesnt distract.
Rudi,
Normally I would be opposed to the OOF Zebra so prominent in the FG. But when I open this image, my eye goes right to the Zebra's eye and mouth, both sharp and well placed in the frame. Thus I conclude that your composition works for me.
Rudi - I too was immediately drawn to the eye and the teeth so while it would be preferable for the oof zebra to not be there, the image is still definitely a keeper.

Rachel
Nice interaction Rudi, If mine and if IQ allows , I will go tight
