I am not too sure who was wettest after I had taken these images! Snow Buntings often call along our local coast line during winter. They were feeding on seeds washed up by the tide and also on grasses growing on the cliff side.
This image is a composite. I could get a shot of the male with the female OOF, and vice versa, I knew if I submitted either type I would get hammered so I decided to combine two pics to produce what I hope is a more impactive image.
I suppose it is obvious by the DOF that you could not get the two bird in focus at this magnification but I hope you like it anyway.
    All C & C eagerly awaited.

Well done on the composite and a really good idea. I like the nice action and seeming interaction between the two birds. I think a slice off the bottom and somehow retaining the aspect ration would be another option.

Very impressive PP skills! I like the interaction between the 2 birds. I would brighten it a bit and clone out the black line in the BG to the left of the bird's wing.

Hi Jon, great pp work, and I like the interaction and eye contact between the two. Getting wet has paid off with this perspective. Im fine with the bottom, but would run some NR on the BG. Both nice and sharp.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I was a little concerned about the background because on the one hand I wanted to reduce noise but I also wanted to show the water droplets - but not too much if you see what I mean. I ran quite heavy noise reduction on the background but I removed it around the birds and half removed it where the water droplets were. I will be returning to see what more I can get but more dull weather is due.... fingers crossed!
