    Found this one relatively near in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe, 16th September 2011

    Beautiful looking eagle, Ken. Very nice screeching pose you captured (unless it is panting), like the bright yellow eye and sharp details. Nice job HH from vehicle.

    For a hand held with a 500, this is brilliant..... I really like the pose, and nice detail... a beautiful species.

    I echo the above sentiments but what really makes the picture for me is the lone little leaf on the dying branches. I also like the belly feather deatil. A beauty and would love to see it in real life someday!

    Ken, a great looking speciman of a Martial Eagle, and I do like how you have timed this to get the open beak. We know most raptors perch high up, so you couldnt have done anything about the angle.
