Hello everyone. I have been waiting for the various ducks to come back. Little by little the numbers are increasing. Here is a shot of one of the first to show. Hope you enjoy.

Good low angle and cute preening pose, Robert. I might crop a bit off bottom, and sharpen eye some more.

Love this behavior. Would crop it a bit for less of a pano effect I think. It's almost as though he is in a bed of soft waves. I like that feel. Agree on a tad more sharpening the head.

Nice behaviour and lovely soft water Robert. Good detail but I think a bit more sharpening could bring out more.

    Robert:
Good advice from the crew. Preening poses on waterfowl aren't the easiest to pull off. Lot of chances, but it has to be just right to work IMO.

With the tweaks already suggested, this one will improve. One of the most important aspects you captured was the head position and good view of the eye.

    Cheers
