Fracted Cache

More of an image for interest sake. Yesterday I drove down to visit my brother near Simcoe, Ontario. He lives on a 30 acre lot in the Carolinian forest of that region. While walking along one of the trails through his woodlot I came to a massive collection of black walnuts piled on the forest floor, most probably from a Red Squirrel collecting it's winter food supply. This is just a small section of the pile, but I would guess there were close to 300 walnuts in this cache. I thought it would look rather neat fracted.

Makes for a cool looking kind of abstract composition, Andrew. The fract treatment has a very nice effect on this, like the texture and combinations of colors. Thanks for sharing the background story as well.

Good eyes on this one, Andrew. I like the FRAC effect on the leaves and all. I might darken the walnuts in the upper half of the image to the tones of the lower half walnuts just to give some separation from the surrounding leave and such. Still cool as is................good work!

Nice comp and great fract work, Andrew. I had one of those trees in NY and used to have to fight with the squirrels to get some of the nuts
