I took a lot of backlit grass images not too long ago. It's hard to decide which ones to keep...they all have merit!

The light streaks were caused by the early morning sun shining through some light fog.

Cropped, contrast, NR on the BG, high pass and smart sharpening. Lightly painted over some dark areas of the BG.

Hard to pass up on these backlit shots. Nicely done. Another option might be a bit darker core of the seed head. I really like the earthy colors.

Hi Ken. Very nice use of backlighting - it really shows off all the little "hairs" on the seed head. I, too, like the earth tone colors as well as the diagonal, off-center comp. I'm not sure if I like the circles in the lower background - on the other hand, I'm not sure if I dislike them either. This is very well done.

Good subject for a backlit situation, nice and sharp, colors are awesome. I think it would look better without that tiny bright hair on left. I like it!
