Hudsonian Godwit On The Flats

We have been blessed here in NE NA with a small group of Hudsonian Godwits this fall that have stayed right up till now feeding heavily on small clams before heading south for the winter.

Not the best lighting...late light with some sun getting through high overcast.

Nikon D300s, 600VR, ISO 500m f5, 1/3200, CW metering, NearUniWB, +.3EV

Cropped just a hair on the bottom.

Sharp, well exposed, nice striding pose, good shooting angle, like the very faint white in BG water, adds just enough detail to keep my eye moving,

Jim, cool perspective here, and like the walking pose. With a ss of 1/3200, the light couldnt have been all that bad. I do like the soft colour of the water BG.
