    Default Southern Carmine Bee Eater

    Sighted this Southern Carmine Bee Eater (Merops nubicus nubicoides) at the south bank of Luangwa river, South Luangwa, Zambia.

    Canon EOS 60D
    Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro
    @300mm, f/8, 1/800s, ISO-800
    LR3 for conversion
    PSE-9 for sizing & removing part of the clutter
    CS-3 for final edit

    That's a beautiful bird Prabir. The backside shot really shows off the gorgeous colours. I find the branches distracting. If mine I would try making it a vertical and crop off from the left, and clone out the remaining branches.

    Hi Ronald, i think he meant Photo Shop Elements - 9 . I'm not 100% sure though

    Prabir, you might want to tone down the levels a little.

    Dan, Ronal, Angad - thanks a lot for your comments & advice. As suggested, I will try an dmodify this and then replace the existing photo. Hope this is allowed.
    Ronald, sorry for the abbreviations. PSE-9 is Photoshop Elements-9 and CS-3 is Photoshop CS-3. Angad, thanks for clarifying on my behalf.

    Dan, Ronald, Angad - edited, including crop, level, cloning etc. as per the advice and posted again. Hope this works OK.
