    Default Desert Bighorn

Been away fro a while running my tours....from Tanzania in mid August to my just concluded Zion and Bryce trip last week. Having to play catch up. This Desert Bighorn is from my Zion tour. I did tighter images but I really liked the patterns in the sandstone. Last light of the afternoon as he dashed down the hill.

See it is 198K size, we can do 250K now (since when??). Would that another 50K help detail/sharpness??

Hi Roman, great to see you posting and back on here.

I like the POV as it illustrates the stepped terrain/habitat and the diagonal line the animal is taking in the frame. Personally I think the sharpness looks OK, plus I still have my doubts about the additional increase in file size. If the images is shot right, processed well, then 200k is fine.

The image looks fine to me as posted, sharp and nice colors.
A bit lower angle would have been nice, but probably not possible, I am guessing.
Very nice to get this close to one.

Really like the graphic quality of this image, Roman, the interest provided by the lines of the bighorn cutting across the lines of the sandstone, the jagged shadow, the excellent EXP and sharpness. Brilliant shot!

I really like the different POV here because it brings those patterns into the picture so well and the bighorn is so nicely positioned for them. Even the position and shape of the strong shadow fits in with everything else nicely.

    Roman,

This is wonderful but I feel that the BG is much better at a higher resolution

Roman - Interesting pov to be looking down on one of these rather than up or parallel. I like the comp and the sandstone.

Very nice color. Like how the ram is posed on the rock.

Tighter is not always better and this image illustrates the point very well. The pattern in the stone takes this shot up a notch. I really like the position of the ram with his front leg extended but front shoulder muscles are contracted so you sense he is fighting gravity a bit. No nits from me,
    Gail

    Hey Roman,
One of the nicest shots I've seen of this animal. A nice composition and the patterned sandstone really provides some nice color and lines.
