Another Pronghorn post but not much time or interest for shooting lately. I often go months without seeing these guys so it was kind of cool to see this familiar face during a much needed purge of images. This buck has an unusually wide "V" shaped set of horns lacking the heart shaped curve of most bucks of this species. It was interesting to me to see the change from the ratty appearance of molting his winter coat to the beauty of a buck in rut. Posted for interest for those who may be so.
Hi Steve, the nature in the photograph is always of interest especialy outside of Africa. Nice to see the difference in these two in your post, a good looking specimen on the left. TFS.
Even though (or especially because?) I have never seen them in the flesh, it's very interesting, for the coat, the light and the colour. If you are going to keep this, maybe make them level and get rid of the red grass in the June shot. These are very pretty antelope. You seem to be a real fan (I mean that positively!).
Nicely done. The human analogy would be a guy sitting on the couch in old ratty clothes with a beer in his hand and a stubbly beard, versus cleaned up, and dressed up to go out on a nice date!
