Back in the rainy northwest and I am already "Jonesing" for the sweet southwest light.

Very sweet indeed Dan. Lovely image. I like the position and pose of the birds. Nice that the heads are both clear of the wings. Nice balance of environment and detail. I might crop below the top band of vertical dark lines or otherwise eliminate them or soften the dark spots within - I find them a bit of a pull away from the subject.

Sweet light (we had plenty today too!) and good sharpness in both birds. Don't mind the habitat at all, but I would have preferred more dynamic poses.

light is great, but don't yearn for the sw too much as it doesn't last long, come visit us in May - Sept and see how you like after 6 AM.
I might crop it more as a pano, be curious to see what it looks like but that's what I've been doing with a lot of my flight shots lately, maybe I'm stuck in a stage.
    Nice shot.

Well timed for the double take off Dan, and good DOF to have both in perfect focus and sharp. The light is sweet, together with the colours in the BG. I dont mind the grasses, but would maybe take a bit off the bottom.

Gorgeous light and I like the inclusion of the habitat!

Agree with Doug about wishing for better poses/wing positions.

The light is wonderful. I like the inclusion of the habitat and am OK with the comp. I do wish for a better wing position but that is a minor nit,
    Gail
