    Default Gemsbok Symmetry

I've been processing some files from last year's trip to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (in anticipation of next week's trip ) and liked this one.
A herd of Gemsbok (Oryx) in golden morning light, nothing spectacular, but I liked the similar poses between antelopes of all ages.

Pretty nice DOF, Morkel and very sharp for 1/125.
    Odd looking fellows!

I like the repetition here Morkel, the shapes created by the high contrast faces and horns make it work very nicely for me.

The fact that the HA for all of them is the same makes this image . Curious like Rudi to know what you did

Morkel - Nice light and color. Only nit is wish the one in the back didn't have the bush in front of its face but nothing we can do about that.

Nice group of Gemsbok Morkel. Like the symmetry and soft light on the group which has brought out a lovely rich colour on the coat. I have allways had difficulty with the harsh light on these guys in Kgalagadi and have yet to get a decent image. Enjoy your trip to my favourite part of the country.

Like it very much too, for exactly the reasons you said. So very well seen and done.

I can see why you like this one, Morkel. Like how the left one anchors the picture and is the largest and how the others really work well in the different sizes and placement.

Love the surrounding grasses here. The animated look of the patterned faces, along with the similar poses of differing sizes, makes me feel like I'm looking at some kind of 70's rock band album cover. Kind of cool .
