This was taken in the rain forest of Costa Rica. It was dark with light streaming through the canopy. I should of bumped the ISO up to get a faster shutter speed. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated

Jim, I like the inquisitive pose, and good flashwork to expose him as you have. The blue crest stands out nicely, and I quite like the emerald green BG.

Beautiful capture of a beautiful bird. Great detail in the blacks. With the flash, your shutter speed should have been fine, I believe. I think a little more DOF would have helped with the tail. Very nice overall.

Great bird and pose, and I love the flaming blue crown. Nor sure of your flash settings, but looks like it may have helped with the sharpness at such sloww SS! I'm OK with the OOF tail due to DOF...everything that should be sharp is.

Brilliant flash work, Jim. He's cute and he knows it. Fantastic bird, pose and techs.
