Really nice detail on the Geese and both of them having the same wing position enables this image to work. looking at the thumbnail I did not think I would like the OOF Geese in the BG but at full size they are not as distracting as iI thought they would be.

Dan, good flying postures from both geese, and both well exposed. I feel the far goose is right on the edge of your DOF,and sharp enough to work. With regards to your OOF geese, if there were a few dotted around, it would be fine, but in this, I feel they have become a little distracting.

Amazing! I like this very much, I don't mind the OOF geese at all I think they add atmosphere. I get the impression you have perhaps sharpened the bill of the far bird quite aggressively because it was just within the DOF (???) I was impressed by the detail in the neck feathers on the more distant bird.

I personally like the sprinkling of OOF geese in the BG as it gives a sense of big number of individuals present...but I don't like the one at bottom edge centre as much (maybe its the cut off head that bugs me a bit...hard to avoid and mostly a matter of luck). Super image though, and your title is quite apt. Great synchronized wing positions and good job on the techs. Wish the main subjects were higher in the frame.

What a cool image Dan. Love the poses, the title and the spectators in the background. Nice exp and sharpness too.

Thanks for the comments, I should mention and thank fellow BPN member and excellent BIF instructor Jim Neiger,
who I was shooting next to, who coached and gave me advice (faster SS, faster SS!).
It was much appreciated, I need to take a course from him.
I should have used higher ISO, I could have stopped down some.

I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying this image, Dan. Came back to look at it several times.
Although I've never been to bosque, this image for whatever reason takes me to there. TFS!

I like this a lot...liked the Bg as well. the wraparound wing position, the whites, the blue color, DOF....quite nice.
